Background
Welcome to ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation
ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation is a Section 8 company supported by Niti Aayog, Government of India, established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) on July 15, 2020. It was sprouted after declaring the final results of 'ACIC 1.0' on March 30, 2020, published on the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) website and also confirmed by a subsequent letter from the Director of Atal Innovation Mission, dated June 9, 2020, for the establishment of Atal Community Innovation Centres (ACIC).
ACIC MIET MEERUT Foundation Works closely with schools of the U.P. Board and CBSE and polytechnics, ITIs, and HEIs to identify young student innovators by conducting various innovation-related activities such as Workshops, Seminars, and Ideathons. The purpose of ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation is to foster the innovation cycle to convert creative ideas and innovative thoughts into the proof of concepts, pre-prototypes, and prototypes, and then transform them into Minimum Viable Products offering unique, innovative solutions for the benefit of society.
ACIC MIET MEERUT Foundation deeply connected with Grassroots innovators. Grassroots Innovators are individuals at the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) who develop creative, practical, and often low-cost solutions to address local challenges. Deeply familiar with their community’s needs, local resources, and constraints, these innovators are intrinsically motivated to solve problems using different ideas and tools built via knowledge of the area and experience of time. ACIC MIET MEERUT Foundation is committed to enable these Grassroots innovators by converting or upgrading their ideas into products and services by blending creativity, science and technology, design, and risk-seeking approaches that constitute the heart of grassroots innovation.
ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation actively collaborates with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to empower local communities and foster sustainable development. By providing training, mentorship, and resources, the foundation supports SHGs in enhancing their entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and technical capabilities. This collaboration aims to strengthen the economic independence of group members, enabling them to create and scale innovative solutions tailored to local challenges. Through initiatives in areas such as skill development, product innovation, and market access, the ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation ensures that SHGs contribute meaningfully to societal progress while promoting inclusivity, self-reliance, and long-term economic growth within their communities.
